Ok, it’s not quite what you might be thinking…this isn’t a post about the boy band NKOTB. I just couldn’t resist the play on words. I think I’ve been around my husband too long. His corny sense of humor must be rubbing off on me.

Anyway, my mom and dad had new goat kids born a week or so ago. The doe had quadruplets again this year, but unfortunately one did not live. The remaining three are doing well though and they are the “new kids on the block”. To make sure that the smallest one is getting enough milk, my mom is bottle feeding him. So, the other day she called and asked if I could help out while they went out of town that day. I couldn’t resist snapping some pictures of them playing on the cement blocks in the pen. They are so much fun to watch!

I didn’t manage to get a picture of all three together at once. Sorry.

As for the weather…I can say that I’m about ready to start looking for some san diego jobs if things don’t start getting warmer soon. Actually it’s probably good that it’s a little cooler right now, cause we still have a lot of snow in the mountains, and more than enough water already in the river. If it warms up too quickly, it’ll be a real mess. They closed the road we walk on for a few days because of the flooding, but they’ve reopened it now. They’ve been filling sandbags for the houses down the road from us, but so far I don’t think they’ve had to use them. Let’s hope it stays that way.
