You Just Never Know…

Today started off to be well….a typical Monday. Monday is always laundry day and at least a half hearted attempt to clean house. After that was started I decided to tackle the files from last year. Got all those organized and sorted and put away so that I’m ready to go to the accountant this month. Then I set to work on removing last years tags from the dog’s collars and replacing them with the new ones. That led to sorting through excess collars and leashes and training bags etc. Funny how one thing leads to another.

Anyway, before I knew it…it was 4:45 and the dogs started barking to let me know someone had just arrived. Strange thing was it was my husband. Odd, he said he wouldn’t be home till 6:00. Hmmmm….that’s where the typical Monday ended. Come to find out, he was laid off this afternoon. :-(

I think I’m still a bit in shock. Even though it’s been in the back of my mind that it might happen, I don’t think I really thought it was possible. I guess you just never know…

  1. Oh Marie, we’re so sorry! I know you said things were slow for him at work but darnit, aren’t the economy and the country supposed to be turning around and starting the recovery process now?!! We will cross our fingers/paws that it is a very short layoff or that something even better comes along soon!!

  2. It’ll be ok Julie,

I’m glad that I gave you the money for the Stacy days when I did. It gives me something to look forward to the next few months, even if I don’t get to trial after the ASCA trial for a while. :-)
    .-= Marie´s last blog ..You Just Never Know… =-.

  3. Are you having trouble getting posts to show up here? I see that you have one titled “another test post” but I don’t see it and clicked on it and it says there is an error. Bummer – hope you can figure out what is going on. Computer and internet technology is such a pain sometimes!

  4. Hey Ricky,

I have a question for you. Totally unrelated to training, other than training me. I can’t for the life of me figure out how everyone puts the links in their posts and it just has a keyword, not the whole URL. How do you do that? Like when I wanted to say thanks to Lindsay and Ace at “That Mutt”, I just finally gave up and typed in the URL instead. Ugh!
