The weather took a turn for the worse this week, and I’ve resigned myself to training in the barn. Not that I’m not grateful for having shelter from the wind and snow, but other than that, it’s pretty much like training in a freezer. On the bright side, it doesn’t seem to bother the dogs at all. So, here is the video clip from today of Dare beginning her 2o/2o contact training. Well, it’s not the very beginning. She’s been working on a flat plank, but I decided to move on to a slightly inclined plank today. I have been trying to focus on her being able to find the 2o/2o position with me in various places, moving and not moving. She’s doing really well. I need to remember to release her forward though, instead of always to me, (thanks for the reminder Vici!) So, here’s a short clip from earlier today.
Dare is just so cute. You just wish you could scoop her up and give her a hug. Lol Diana

Dare is doing so well, Marie! I really enjoy the videos you make of training her – it is helpful to see how you do it and mom wants to have lots of ideas for what to do when she decides to get a puppy. We would love it if you made more training videos!
Diana,
I do just scoop her up and hug her. Much to her dismay. LOL
Ricky,
I will try to get more video as we’re training. I’m just not in the habit of setting up the camera when I go out to train. I should get into that habit though, because watching it later helps me see things that I’ve missed.
By george, I think she’s got it!
Well, she’s getting it anyway. I don’t think it’s done by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s a good start.
