I wish I had some progress to report as far as Layla is concerned. I don’t. She is just the same. She is still getting rest and the anti-inflamatory meds, but the limp remains. We’ll continue until the first part of next week, and then I guess we’ll check back with the vet and see how to proceed from here.
Oh, we are sorry to hear that! We were so hoping for good news. Guess Layla just needs a little more rest time. Poor girl!
I still think she’ll be fine! She just needs more time. Those soft tissue things can take a while to heal up.

I hope you’re right Cyn and that I’m just impatient.
Nuts! I was hoping for better news too. She’s SUCH a cutie! I hope that it will get btter soon. How’s she handling the crate rest thing?

Sorry Marie, I know it is such a worry when our furkids are not 100%

Thanks Julie,
I know you understand. It’s so frustrating to not know for sure what is going on. I really need to develop some patience, but it just isn’t happening.
Well I hope she is feeling better. I guess it just takes time to heal. Poor girl! She’s probably like, “Uh, Mom? I want to go play!”

Well Lindsay, I don’t know that Layla thinks that she’s supposed to be feeling bad. That’s part of the problem. Even though she’s limping, she still wants to go do things 100 miles an hour.
Well, Marie, it’s been another couple of weeks…how’s Layla doing now? Is her leg wrapped at all? In the past, I’ve had vets suggest a snug (but not tight!) wrapping to help minimize the bending that causes stretching of ligaments, etc. Dunno if it’s applicable here or not, but just a though…

Hi Jim!
The lameness is still there.
I haven’t been wrapping it. We really can’t tell where the soreness is originating. The first vet down here thought that it was in her shoulder, but the vet up there couldn’t get a reaction anywhere in her examination and neither can I. So…would you just wrap the entire leg?
