I used to be "that" guy, who got slightly annoyed when ATV riders would use the access road behind our house on the way to the trails. Then I got one myself and can see both sides of the story. I think as long as people are respectful while riding through residential areas (use quiet mufflers or keep the speed and noise down) and they are respectful of the wildnerness and trails (tread lightly) it's a great thing. They don't have to stay on nicely groomed trails, although they are supposed to be limited to certain designated areas. Good luck enforcing that!
